ITANAGAR, Sep 29: Extending support to the ongoing agitation by the Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) in New Delhi regarding corruption in various departments of the state,  Pro-Dam Movement of Arunachal Pradesh (PDMAP) has resolved to head to the national capital on October 2 next to join the agitation.
This was informed by the PDMAP President Taw Paul in a press conference held at the press club here on Thursday.   “Together, we will fight against corruption and a corrupt government," said Paul while informing that few demands of PDMAP related to hydropower projects are also raised by the AAC. Therefore our members shall head to the national capital to join in the dharna organized by the AAC, he said.
He also informed that from day one, PDMAP has stressed for proper implementation of  hydropower projects in the state which will act as a gateway to provide job opportunities for the benefit of the state’s unemployed youths.
As per central electric authority, the NHPC established in the state should provide two posts in every hydropower project, but no such job recruitment criteria is followed here leaving no better future for youths of the state, he added. 
“Why the state government is not recommending Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the corruption issues raised by many organizations”, Paul questioned the state government.
“The state-BJP government is worse than the Congress”, said Paul while claiming that the party and its CM are acting as “anti-Arunachal” government.
He also said that organizations raise voice on behalf of the public for welfare of the state and its people, but the state-BJP government never addresses such voices instead it will send its spokespersons in defense of the CM.
Comparing the case of Paras Singh who was arrested and brought to Arunachal within no time for passing racial remarks against the state Congress MLA Ninong Ering, Paul questioned the state home department for not initiating any action to arrest one Akhilesh Pratap Singh of Lucknow, UP, for derogatory comments against the AAC Chairperson Toko Sheetal.
“Even after many FIRs lodged against Akhilesh Pratap the state-BJP government is not taking any action which shows that he was sent by the state-BJP government to interrupt the AAC foot-march/protest," the PDMAP President said.
