Itanagar, Nov  18: The 5th sitting of the Privilege Committee of the 8th Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Kardo Nyigyor, Deputy Speaker, at the Assembly Conference Hall.
During the sitting, the Committee reviewed and examined the replies submitted by various departments, including the District Administration, Tawang, in connection with the breach of privilege motion moved by Shri Namgey Tsering, MLA (2-Tawang). After detailed scrutiny, the Committee resolved to issue strictures to all Deputy Commissioners, directing them to strictly adhere to prescribed protocols during official programmes and events to prevent any lapses in the future.
Committee members present at the meeting included legislators Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Puinnyo Apum, Hayeng Mangfi and Hage Appa. Additional Advocate General Ninong Ratan and Legislative Assembly officers—Tadar Meena (Secretary), Agaab Mossang (Additional Secretary), and Kheto Lowang (Under Secretary)—were also in attendance.
The committee will continue its deliberations to ensure that institutional protocols are upheld and that the dignity of the house is maintained.
