Itanagar, Jul 12: A preparatory meeting was convened in the chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom in connection with the celebration of the ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya, Power@2047’, a central government initiative launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from July 25-31 next.
The meeting was attended by Director APEDA Er Marki Loya, EE( Power) Er Joram Lali, DD( APEDA) Amping Megu, PO(APEDA) Nyangam Bagra Kamduk, AE( Power) Er Tana Gongo, DACO Tem Kaya and others.
The DC asked to all to cooperate and work in coordination with each other for the successful conduct of the weeklong program.
Ravinder Bhusan Shrivastava, Asstt Manager(IT) NHPC, District Nodal Officer for the celebration informed that as part of the weeklong celebration, the program for Capital Itanagar would be organised at DK Convention Centre Itanagar and Mini Secretariat Naharlagun on July 25-27 next respectively which will highlight the achievements in the power and renewable energy sectors over the last 8 years to the public both from national and state perspectives and also the vision of India in these sectors for 2047, when the country completes 100 years of Independence.
CO Moyir Kato informed that during the program, various cultural events would be showcased including nukkad natak, cultural performance, exhibition etc.
The weeklong event will culminate on 31st July , with Prime Minister interacting with the beneficiaries through video conferencing and launching of new schemes in power distribution and the national portal for solar rooftop.
