ITANAGAR, Apr 18: The People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) in a meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of MLA Takam Pario has resolved to walk alongside and join hands with the BJP government for overall development of the state.
“Being a constituent of NEDA, the party shall commit to work hand to hand with the government in its endeavour to spell people friendly and good governance in the state,” said Party President, Kahfa Bengia urging the Pema led BJP government to coordinate with PPA in bringing development for the state.
Meanwhile Pario has also urged the ruling government to expedite every possible way for rectification of defective Statehood Day Act 1987, which was raised by MLA Nikh Kamin in the recently held Assembly session. The house also appealed the government to relook into the decision to convert the Chief Minister official bungalow into state guest house.
The members in the meeting further adopted one point resolution to strengthen the party from the very grassroots level and carry forward the legacy and message of founder members Late Bakin Pertin and Late Tomo Riba.
