TEZU, Mar 9: The much awaited 132 KV Roing – Tezu Power line, a dream project is expected to be charged anytime from March 10 next. According to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Govt. Enterprise) Tezu, every effort related to the line has been already completed.
Although minor tasks are left, sources inform that they can be worked upon after the line is charged.
‘The line from Roing to Tezu is through and would converge at Switch Yard built at Kholariang village at the outskirt of the township. After that from the main switch Yard the 132 KV line will be brought down to 33 KV and then to 11 KV for local consumers. A special line to fetch 33 KV line up to Power House from the main Switch Yard for local distribution is yet to be built which will require some time,’ Grid officials informed.
This development is likely to alleviate the power crisis for locals who have frequently faced the brunt of acute power shortage since last several decades.
