Itanagar, Aug 2:  Har Ghar Tiranga -- campaign for the state capital Itanagar was launched by Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom today in presence of  administrative officers, Head of Departments and public.
Har Ghar Tiranga, is an initiative of the central government as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage and inspire organisations, institutions and citizens of India to hoist the National Flag at their respective premises invoking feelings of patriotism and national pride.
EAC Datum Gadi, Nodal Officer informed that the Har Ghar Tiranga is a nationwide campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their offices and homes from August 13-15 next to mark the 75th Independence Day. 
He said that approximately 20,000 flags have been placed under Capital Administration and urged the Heads of Departments to purchase and distribute and also to encourage officials and public to come forward and make the it a mass movement. 
Gadi who is also the Asstt Commissioner Itanagar Municipal Corporation said that IMC is also making every effort to reach out to the public by distributing as many flags as possible. He informed that several appeals have been made including installing of hoardings at various prominent locations requesting public to participate in the campaign. 
The DC asked for concerted efforts from all concerned for the successful implementation of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in the Capital Itanagar.
He however asked all to ensure that utmost respect is exercised to the National flag whenever it is on display.
