YUPIA, Jul 11: To mark the World Population day, Population Stabilisation Fortnight was launched in Papum Pare (Rural) by Nabam Yakum, Chairperson Zilla Parishad Papum Pare at Yupia on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering the ZPC requested all stakeholders to carry out the necessary counselling at village level on mission mode.
Earlier DMO Dr. K.Perme, highlighted the challenges caused by rapid growth of  population.
Family planning facilities like tubectomy, vasectomy, condom, contraceptive pill, IUD etc.  was demonstrated by DRCHO Dr.N.Nitik.
After launching the programme, training for IMI 5.0 for health workers was also kicked off.
