Yingkiong, Apr 17: Ahead of the ensuing Poll day, the Upper Siang District Election Office, Yingkiong dispatched  Polling parties and Sectors Officers of three Polling Stations at Peki Modi, Mossing and Palling (P-2) on Wednesday owing to remoteness of these polling booths and inclement weather. 
As per guidelines of Election Commission of India, Nodal Officer EVM management, Beru Dulom alongwith staff handed over EVMs,VVPATs and polling materials to polling officials at dispersal centre from strong room located at Tourist lodge near DC Office Yingkiong after proper checking  by engineers in the presence of ERO (Eln),  Election agents  of contesting candidates of various political parties and security personnel.
Altogether, 69 Polling Stations have been set up across the district for smooth conduct of  polls i.e., 42 at 34- Tuting Yingkiong AC and 27 at 40-Geku Mariyang AC respectively. The district has total of 25381 eligible voters which include 12,755 males and 12,626 Female voters.
Meanwhile, Polling parties and Sector Officer for Youth Polling booth at Peki Modi reported that after arduous long hours of foot march despite incessant rain the team reached their destination safely. DIPRO
