Kaimai, Mar 28: The last Adieu to  Policeman Wangniam Bosai, IRBn who was killed in the line of duty on March 26 last at Sub-Jail, Khonsa during a jailbreak incident was laid to rest today with state honours at his native village of Kaimai.
Hundreds of mourners and supporters thronged the residence of Martyr Const Wangniam Bosai on Tuesday to pay their last respects to the bravo sepoy which  included Satyavir Katara, Commandent 1st IRBN Namsanhmukh, Lim Modi, a representive from the district administration, Superintendent  of Police Kardak Riba, among others. 
The ceremonial gun salute during the funeral was done by the Arunachal Pradesh Police in presence of  District Administration, IRBn, 36Bn CRPF along with other courtesies from various parts of the district.
IRBn constable Wangniam Bosai was killed by two operatives of the NSCN who escaped from the central jail in the Tirap headquarters on March 26 last.
NSCN-K (NS) operatives Roksen Homcha Lowang and Titpu Kitnya snatched the service rifle – an AK-47 – from Bosai and fired upon him, the police said. Bosai, who was shot in the stomach, passed away while he was being taken to Dibrugarh in Assam.
One of the operatives, identified as Titpu Kitnya from Kharsang, was a convict in a murder case while Roksen Homcha, a native of Borduria village, was an under trial prisoner.
“Efforts are on to locate the escapees by Tirap Police supported by 6 AR and 36 Bn CrPF," an official statement said.
