ITANAGAR, May 25: Itanagar Police has arrested one more person in connection to the Director Audit & Pension assault case today from Naharlagun. Earlier on Wednesday last, making a breakthrough in the case, Police nabbed one person from  Banderdewa.

The arrest has been confirmed by the Deputy Inspector General, Tussar Taba. However, Police has not revealed the identity of both the accused arrested from different locations citing sensitivity of the case and that may alert other involved.

Since day one of the incident, Police has sealed all entries and exit points of the state capital and Naka’s have been intensified in various locations to trace out all the culprits involved in the alleged extortion case of Director Audit and Pension.

On May 22, two unidentified persons with sophisticated weapons like AK 56 Assault Rifle and grenade barged into the office chamber of the Audit and Pension, however the Officer managed to escape after overpowering the assailants who later fled from the scene leaving behind the bag containing the weapons.
