ITANAGAR, Mar 6: Expressing resentment at the state government's lackadaisical attitude towards them, the aggrieved compassionate candidates of Arunachal Pradesh Police today announced an indefinite sit-in protest against the state government demanding fulfillment of its charter of demands.
Speaking to the media, an aggrieved candidate said that it has been eight days since they began the protest at Tennis Court IG Park, however no representative from the government nor administration has visited the venue or has tried to know their grievances.

He also informed that they have already submitted their representation to the DGP  on the second day of the sit-in protest.
When asked about their demands placed to the Home Minister, he said the group has met the Home Minister two times, and he had assured to resolve their demands in 2019.Now it's almost four years, and no positive development has been forthcoming, he said.
The Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates of Arunachal Pradesh Police is demanding free & fair selection on compassionate ground, immediate conduct of recruitment process against the sanctioned 21 posts laying in the department, creation of more posts to adjust more people under compassionate ground, the conduct of recruitment process of compassionate ground annually and resumption of Physical Standard Test which was proposed on 10th August 2022.
