ITANAGAR, Jul 8: Director General of Police (DGP), Anand Mohan has urged police officers to remain accessible and grounded while executing their duties with a 'gentle yet firm approach'. 
The police chief was speaking at an interactive session with the Lower Subansiri district police officers and staff members on Saturday. In his address, he emphasized on the significance of moral ethics and the responsibilities entrusted to the police force. Emphasizing the importance of the uniform, he highlighted the need for more community outreach programs.
Mohan,  who arrived at Ziro on his maiden visit  inaugurated four utility assets that have been developed over the past years by the police department.
He inaugurated the renovated NGO Mess, which will exclusively cater to drivers and Police Subordinate Officers (PSOs) of officers and VIPs. This initiative aims to improve the comfort and wellbeing of the personnel serving esteemed dignitaries.The DGP unveiled a state-of-the-art Library cum Computer Centre located within the SP office premises. This facility has been established to meet the educational needs of the wards of police personnel, offering them access to a wide range of knowledge and technological resources.
Further, he also  inaugurated a Wet Canteen that will be efficiently managed by the spouses of police staff. The canteen is situated within the SP office premises and aims to provide a convenient dining experience for the dedicated staff, ensuring their nutritional needs are met while on duty.
The DGP unveiled a renovated and well-equipped Conference Hall at the SP Office in Ziro. This modern facility will serve as a hub for conducting important meetings, training sessions, and strategic discussions, promoting efficient communication and collaboration among the police officers.
Later in the day, Mohan visited the Ziro Police Station and Women Police Station, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene within the premises.
