ITANAGAR, Jul 31:In a major breakthrough Itanagar police today rounded up hotel management staffers of various hotels of Itanagar township for their involvement in running flesh trade. The arrests come days after eleven women were arrested on suspicion of prostitution in the capital complex.

Police is also preparing report to be submitted to the district administration for cancellation of Hotel license. Meanwhile check nakas and vehicle checking are being intensified including night patrol.

SP City, Dr. A Koan said that action has already started and police is linking all persons and investigation is on fast track.

SDPO, Itanagar Henyir Techi said that police have been keeping watch on these activities and a major breakthrough was made recently when eleven girls were apprehended for involvement in sex racket.

‘After starting of investigation it has been revealed that the Managers and staffers of various hotels are also involved in the case and many of them  have been  arrested  for involvement in  running the flesh trade,’ she said.

So far the employees of Hotel Kameng, Ato-Ayo, Paramount, Park View, Panna, Itafort, Kosing, Happy Restaurant and Sun View restaurant have been arrested in the connection of case of WPS Case NO-66/17, u/s-3/8 of Immoral trafficking Prevention Act-1956 , Henyir said.
