Doimukh, Jun 28: In a significant breakthrough, the Doimukh Police have arrested two individuals involved in a high-profile burglary case that shook Tigdo village. The arrests come days after a complaint was filed regarding a house break-in that occurred in June.
The accused have been identified as Nabam Ako (22), a habitual offender with a disturbing criminal past including charges of rape, theft, and burglary, and Teri Apang (19), a resident of Tigdo village. Authorities confirmed that Ako is a repeat offender, posing a consistent threat to public safety.
The burglary was reported by Techi Tania, who discovered that unidentified intruders had ransacked his home during his family’s absence, making away with gold ornaments, traditional local jewellery and cash.
Following swift investigation and coordinated efforts, police tracked and apprehended the culprits. The case has been registered under DMK PS Case No. 82/25 U/S 331(1)/305(a) BNS, and further investigations are being led by ASI T.D. Goiba,state a release.
