NIRJULI, Oct 31: In a major breakthrough against organized crime, Naharlagun Police arrested two habitual offenders — Maru Takam alias Madhav and Dayum Tado — for their involvement in a series of armed robberies and thefts across the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).
The duo had been linked to multiple incidents, including lootings wine shop, fruit vendor at Nyigam Colony, Papu Nallah, and Doimukh, along with several house burglary cases that had recently alarmed residents.
During the investigation, police recovered a Yamaha R15 motorcycle, a scooty, two LPG cylinders, a laptop, and a guitar believed to have been stolen in different crimes.
Superintendent of Police Naharlagun  Dr. Nyelam Nega lauded the police team’s swift action and reaffirmed the ICR Police’s commitment to combating organized crime and ensuring public safety. He also lauded the Constable Sanu Raj T. of Naharlagun Police Station for successfully apprehending  the prime accused after meticulous technical and physical surveillance, leading to the breakthrough in the case.
