DAPORIJO, Aug 11:Deputy Commissioner, AK Singh on Friday  formally launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna in Upper Subansiri district in presence of officials and public.

While distributing the LED bulbs to beneficiaries, the DC, said that the programme will help in conservation of energy in the district and told that every individual can avail the services of the scheme by producing electricity bill and identity proof to issuing agency.

In the meantime, DC exhorted the PO, APEDA, Daporijo to conduct awareness campaign on the Ujwala Programme in the district.
