ITANAGAR, May 16:

The Arunachal Anti Corruption Sena (AACS) on Tuesday filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) in the Guwahati High court Itanagar permanent seeking immediate implementation Lokayukta bill in the spirit of the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act 2013 in the state.

Informing about the development in a release today, the AACS claimed that the lackadaisical attitude of the government and the inordinate delay in implementing the much needed Lokayukta court in the state has compelled the union to take the strong step.

“Despite repeated memorandum and representation, the state government failed to implement the Bill, which was already passed in a state assembly meeting in the year 2014,” further alleged AACS appealing the government to immediately put into operation the strong anti-corruption Lokayukta bill in the interest of the public.
