ITANAGAR, Aug 11: Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is organizing a two-day photo exhibition on “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Meri Mati Mera Desh, Har Ghar Tiranga and 9 years of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan”, at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar which began on Friday.
The photo exhibition was inaugurated by N Ramanjanappa, Cluster Head of Akashvani in Arunachal Pradesh and Head of Office, Akashvani Itanagar. Speaking on the occasion, Ramanjanappa said that the photo exhibition is exhibiting many pictures from the pre-independent era which are not available easily. He said that display of these pictures will definitely help the spectators in visualizing and understanding the situation and circumstances when independence was achieved.  
A. Krishnan, Principal, VKV, Chimpu on the occasion shared his views that the government has been doing a lot for the development of the NE and the nation as a whole. He appealed all the participants to take full advantage of the exhibition and try to enhance their knowledge about India’s past.  
Earlier, Rakesh Doley, In-Charge Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, in his welcome address briefed about the aims and objectives of the photo exhibition. He said that the photo exhibition aims at showcasing some of the important historical events in India’s freedom struggle as a part Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He added that it also aims at celebrating the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign and appealing all to be a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from 13th to 15 August. 
Tapan Kumar Das, Associate Editor, Echo of Arunachal was also present in the inaugural function as Special Guest. 
On the occasion, a pledge was administered as a part of the Meri Mati, Mera Desh initiative and national Flags were distributed to all the participants as a part of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
