Roing, Jun 29: The Pertin Bodum Ba:né Kébang (PBBK) organized its Academic Award Ceremony 2025 on June 29 at the Meka Mu:sup, Roing, with the aim of celebrating academic excellence and community spirit among the members of the Pertin clan. The event witnessed a vibrant gathering of students, scholars, elders, and community leaders.
The ceremony also featured a comprehensive Academic Review Report presentation by Obang Pertin, the Chairman of the Academic Award Committee (AAC-PBBK), which was followed by the felicitation of awardees, including meritorious students and Ph.D. recipients. 
Attending the ceremony as Chief Guest Belatee Pertin IAS (Retd.), former Commissioner, in his keynote address highlighted the importance of academic pursuit in nation-building through one’s community. He said that such an event which encourages the young achievers is a foundational step to reorient the academic counts in a closed knit society like ours and advised all to learn to adjust with  society and learn to think out of box and excel further.
Attending as the Guest of Honour, Batem Pertin, former Director of Research & Documentation, and the Executive President of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) while sharing valuable insights on education and cultural identity, advocated further to indulge in appreciating each other more. “Honour your parents and don’t keep yourself bonded to mobiles” was his clarion calls to the new generation.
Earlier, Bijoy Pertin, President, PBBK in his exhortative message urged the parents to be vigilant and to properly nurture one’s child and help them to remain away from drug menace. Yarbang Pertin, the Secretary General of PBBK in his address spoke on the importance of remaining united as a family for ensuring the further growth of the community. 
Earlier in the morning, the programme began with the singing of the PBBK anthem by all attendees which was followed by a welcome address from Guni Pertin, President of PBBK Meka Block, the retired Superintendent of Police and noted veteran radio artist, setting the tone for the occasion. 
The programme also witnessed reflections and feedback shared by student awardee, Ph.D. awardee, and parents of the awardees, making the event deeply personal and emotionally resonant.
