PASIGHAT, Jun 26: In an effort to give back to society, the Arunachal Pradesh Service Pensioners’ Association (APSPA) East Siang unit adopted the Tako Gao Memorial Government Primary School  at Sika-Tode under Ruksin subdivision. The association further plans to adopt two more schools in the district.
Among others, the event was attended by the Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, former MLA Tatung Jamoh and many prominent retired officers.
Later in the coordination meeting, MLA Ering appreciated the members for their kind gesture and gave spot grant of five lakhs for immediate maintenance of the school building. “Education increases the propensity for better opportunities; makes a smart and informed society; allows to live a healthy and quality lifestyle with a high standard of living," he said adding that a good education is a foundation for better future. He also urged the DC for granting some amount from Untied Fund for infrastructural  development of the school.
DC Tayi Taggu in his brief speech also appreciated the efforts of APSPA and assured to provide all logistic and moral support to the association for improvement in the education sector.
Among others, APSPA President Bodong Yirang, Vice-President Kaling Koyu, General Secretary Dr. Onik Moyong and Jt. Secy (Admin) Tarak Mize and DDSE Odhuk Tabing also spoke on the occasion.
