State BJP visits Kepangla  near Gelling

 

TUTING, Dec 28: The State BJP team visited Gelling, the last village on the Indo-Tibetan border and interacted with the ITBP personnel and villagers on Tuesday. The objective behind visiting the international border village was to stock of the ground realities.
The BJP team led by Vice-President Tarh Tarak also comprised of Spokesperson Techi Necha, Porchu Tamin (Convener Library cell), and Nima Sange Co-Convener, Media Department.
During the interaction, locals while expressing satisfaction on the implementation of various program and policies of the state and central government,  however said they expected  improvement in the road communication in the area. 
Tarak in his speech highlighted about the developmental schemes implemented in the state and its achievement. Stating that CM Pema Khandu is doing great job for the greater interest of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, Tarak said "Pema Khandu  is (one) of the best performing Chief Minister of India and Pema Khandu Govt will be in power for consecutive twenty years in the state."
It worth mentioning here that before the 1962 war, 4 kilometers away from Gelling, Kepangla pass was the route  for barter trade between India and Tibet.
Later visiting party leaders interacted with the officials of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at the camp in Gelling and interacted with them about any intrusion. The ITBP personnel said that there is no encroachment in the border area and peace always prevails here.
