ITANAGAR, Jun 16:  All Arunachal Pradesh PDS-NFSA-carriage contractors welfare association has urged the state government to release  their pending  bills of 2019-20 and 2020-21 as well as of  Pradhan Mantri  Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKAY).
 In its representation to Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, the association  claimed that despite  difficult terrain and the pandemic, the contractors supplied essential commodities  to denizens in different  locations but the bills for the same work are still pending for last many months. 
The association  further claimed  that as per National Food Security Act(NFSA) the advance payment shall be paid to the PDS carriage contractors quarterly from the state government exchequer  and said bill  paid shall be reimbursed by the central government  but it has never been implemented  due to which contractors are facing acute financial shortages.
