ITANAGAR, Mar 7: Tens of thousands  from all walks of life participated in a mass peaceful protest rally  against the demand for ‘Null & Void’ of APPSC exams. The protest was organized under the banner of the Parents Joint Committee against Null & Void (PJCNV) from Akashdeep to IG Park here today.
Besides parents, the rally was also  participated by the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU), community based organizations and others NGOs
Protesters are demanding the rollback of the state government's decision to recommend the demand for Null & Void by the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) to the state public service commission and a fair & prompt investigation into the APPSC cash-for-job scam.
Speaking to reporters, PJCNV General Secretary Ajay Matam said that demanding null & void of the examinations is "mass murder and also creates a situation for an open graveyard." 
Accusing the representatives of PAJSC for using mobocracy to fulfill its demands, Matam instead suggested them to take the matter to court. The matter can be solved in court and not by pressurizing the state government. Moreover, the demand is immature as it will create ‘mass murder’ at one go, which is not the solution, he said.
“The only solution to the issue is to approach the court and in-depth investigation of the case by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The investigating agency is capable of dealing with such cases. Therefore, let the premier investigating agency continue with the investigation process,” he said, adding that the candidates are open to any kind of investigation and Narco analysis test.
Also, he said the decision of “null & void” will not only is an injustice to all genuine candidates but will also affect families, who have invested years in their children. Moreover, because of someone’s fault,  entire candidates can’t be punished.   
He also said that the PAJSC should refrain from misguiding a few sections of the public for their individual benefits. If the committee dares, then they should demand null & void of entire exams conducted by the commission from 1988  till date.  
Meanwhile, AAPSU President Tana Dozi Tara who attended the rally, made it clear that the union stands strong against "null and void". He said that the union will continue with its proposed bandh on March 14 next, accusing the PAJSC and the State Home Department of conspiring against the union.
Earlier, the state government had agreed to fulfill the 13-point charter of demands of PAJSC after two days of the ICR bandh. The committee had demanded a declaration of “null and void” of 2014-2022 APPSCE, which the government had agreed to recommend the same to the commission.
