ITANAGAR, Jan 9: The Paragliding Association of Arunachal conducted a 15 days basic to intermediate level paragliding course at Lumdung (Papu Valley), East Kameng District which concluded on January 7.
Among the 19 youths including 5 females who attended the course was 13-year-old Ali Sonam Tara. He is the youngest pilot to complete the intermediate level paragliding course from Arunachal Pradesh or perhaps youngest paragliding pilot of India. In view of his ability, the Association is deputing him to Bir Billing in Himachal Pradesh for the advance level training.
District Sports Officer, East Kameng District, Koya Yame attended the valedictory function and gave away the course certificates to the trainees who completed the course successfully.  
The course was conducted by the Paragliding Association of Arunachal with the help of experts from Billing Paragliding Association, Himachal Pradesh. The programme is sponsored by the Department of Youth Affairs, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
