Yupia, Dec 10: The Deputy Commissioner–cum–District Election Officer (Panchayati Raj), Papum Pare, Vishakha Yadav, convened a Poll Day Preparatory Review Meeting today to review and strengthen arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Panchayati Raj Elections at the DC Conference hall on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by all Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers under Rural Papum Pare, the Superintendents of Police, Jummar Basar (Itanagar); Taru Gusar (Yupia), ADC Tame Yajum and nodal officers concerned with election management.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the vehicle movement plan for polling teams and security personnel to ensure timely and safe transportation.
The communication plan for poll day was also discussed to ensure seamless coordination among all election functionaries.
The DC–cum–DEO further reviewed the arrangements and readiness of designated halls and strong rooms, including logistical preparedness, security arrangements and installation of CCTVs.
Special emphasis was laid on security arrangements for counting centres and strong rooms to ensure the safety and integrity of election materials.
Further, a sensitivity assessment of polling stations and vulnerable areas was undertaken, and the deployment plan of police personnel was discussed in detail to ensure adequate security coverage and maintenance of law and order.
DC Vishakha Yadav stressed strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and urged all concerned officers to maintain close coordination to ensure the conduct of free, fair, and peaceful elections in the district.
