YUPIA, Aug 25: The district level implementation cum monitoring committee (DLIMC) for Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY) under the Horticulture Department has approved 221 beneficiaries for ANBY 2023-24 during its board meeting held in Yupia on Friday.
Chairing the meeting DC- cum -Chairman DLIMC, Cheechung Chukhu advised the committee members to guide and assist the farmers during the entire process of filing applications and communication with the banks.
He suggested for proper scrutiny of all the documents of the farmers at the departmental level, before endorsing the applications to the banks and to avoid rejections.
“Selecting genuine candidates is a pre-requisite for the success of the scheme. The motto of the scheme to elevate the economic conditions of the poor and marginal farmers will be defeated if the officers succumb to political and clan based pressures," he said while urging all the officers to select genuine beneficiaries.
The DC also urged the Branch Managers of various private sectors banks attending the meeting to expedite sanctioning loans to the farmers under ANBY.
Ranjit Singh, Chief Manager, Co-ordinator SLBC Arunachal Pradesh while answering to queries regarding the delay in sanctioning loans under ANBY informed that “New banks onboarded recently for the implementation of this scheme are processing the applications and the loan subsidy amount shall be released soon.”
This year under ANBY (2023-24) a sum of  Rs 450 lakh  has been earmarked for Papum Pare District.
