ITANAGAR, Jun 22: The Nugong Banggo Kebang   in a complaint letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner Siang district, has drawn attention towards construction of substandard roads, bridges and culverts funded under PMGSY scheme from Komsing to Sissen village.
It alleged that formation cutting of the road from Komsing to Sissen done by M/s Ragiaku Enterprise was constructed in a haphazard way without following the standard specifications of PMGSY manuals. “As per original DPR the length of the road should be 40 km but the executing agency wrapped up the work constructing only 30.5 km and the culverts which were approved for 4 meters as per DPR drawing was constructed at lengths of 1.5 meters only,” NBK added.
It also alleged that  there are more than 100 number of bridges and culverts as per DPR but not a  single bridge has been  constructed yet and the  few culverts that were  constructed are also of very poor quality. NBK further requested the DC to intervene in the matter and direct the executing agency and contractors to reconstruct the roads, bridges, and culverts within stipulated time frame and for constitution of an inquiry committee to look into the mismanagement.
