ITANAGAR, Sep 5: Save Arunachal Movement (SAM) today staged a protest rally demanding the transfer of Governor B. D. Mishra claiming various illegalities in job recruitment as well as 'discriminatory order' issued in the governor's secretariat office, Raj Bhawan. 
Likewise, the organization also demanded the transfer of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) Vice Chancellor Saket Kushwaha for conducting job recruitment under the desk.
The organization claimed that the Videographer, Peon and Protocol Assistant working in the  Governor's Secretariat were illegally appointed and hence should be immediately terminated from the post.
Speaking to reporters, SAM Chairman, Sarpi Flago said that the appointment is illegal and the concerned authority should immediately terminate those individuals. Failing to meet the demands, the organization will fight the case in court, he said.    
"Equal opportunity is everyone’s constitutional right but unfortunately there is discrimination inside the Governor’s office in terms of job recruitment since he took the charge," he said.
Flago claimed that the Governor in his tenure has only appointed a single person from the state and the rest are Non-APST among the five (5) job vacancies. Moreover, there is clear cut direction in his office not to appoint any local for any kind of job since 2018, he said.  
“This is the reason why we term the Governor as ‘Anti-Tribal’ so as to protest against his discriminatory nature of job recruitment as well as for the direction issued for non recruitment of locals in his Secretariat ADC office. The organization protests such behavior in the strongest terms,” he said.  
Flago further claimed that the interview for the post Videographer, Peon and Protocol Assistant was conducted in RGU without any knowledge to the public by the VC Saket Kushwaha.
Hence, the organization will be organizing the same protest in the premises of RGU, Doimukh on Tuesday.
“Such issues should not be ignored by the public. Moreover, our protest is not only to create awareness among the public over such illegal practices but also to come to the forefront to fight for their rights,” he said.
The organization pointed out that the recruitment process as per the government order should have been conducted by APSSB or state civil service commission, which the governor’s office has intentionally violated.
