ITANAGAR, May 8:   After locking horns in league matches, eight teams of both boys and girls gave their best in the semifinal matches played today to register their team in the final berth of the ongoing Orja CAPF U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 being played at the Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy. 

In four semifinal matches played here today CC Club-A (girls) defeated East Siang by 3-0 goals and confirmed their place in the final. Whereas in the second semifinal played between CC Club-1 (boys) and West Siang, the former clinched the game by 8-1 goals. Lohit (girls) beat SLSA by 4-1 goals in third semifinal and SLSA (boys) made a clean win against East Siang by 3-0 goals in the fourth semifinal match.

Girl’s final will be played on May 10 next, whereas Boys final will be played on May 11 next at Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA). Boys teams of East Siang and West Siang will play their hardliner match tomorrow. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju will attend the final day as chief guest.

Earlier, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Om Parkash, Asst. Director, SIB- BK Sahoo  and Dy. Inspector General  SHQ(Itanagar), ITBP- Nirbhai Singh attended the semifinal matches to encourage the players.
