AALO, Oct 19: Online payment of electricity bills in Aalo Town was successfully launched by MLA Aalo, Kento Jini today from the office of the Chief Engineer (Power), Western Electrical Zone, Vidyut Bhawan, Itanagar in presence of all the Chief Engineers, Department of Power. Aalo Town is the 9th town of the state to avail the Online Payment System. Now, 7242 Electricity Consumers of Aalo Town will have the online services such as Online Billing, E-Billing, SMS Services, Customer Care Supports and Online Payments.
Er. Bar Takum, Chief Engineer (P), Western Electrical Zone cum State Nodal Officer highlighted the objective of the scheme and its importance and relevance of the Online Payment of Electricity Bills. Er. Joram Lali, Executive Engineer (E), Capital Electrical Division who is also the Nodal Officer for online payment including other related activities presented brief details.
He also informed that unified billing solution is already developed for the entire state and is ready to integrate remaining districts wherever internet connectivity is available.
Jini, who officially launched the online payment by paying his own electricity bill of his private residence of Aalo Town.  expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Minister In-charge (Power).
 He stressed on the importance of Online Payment and its consumer friendly services. He appealed all the consumers of Aalo town to avail the Online Payment Services.
