KHONSA, Apr 17: A fatal accident at Khonsa   on Tuesday last   has resulted in one death   and   four   serious injuries. The deceased has been identified as N Pansa, a 20-year old girl and the seriously injured passengers   were evacuated to   Dibrugarh for further medical assistance.

As per   reports, the incident occurred when a Mahindra Bolero pick-up while on its way from Wakka to Khonsa with 9 male and 8 female passengers skidded off the road while trying to take a U-turn.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and a case registered against him at Khonsa   police station. The four passengers   who were seriously injured are now   under treatment at   Dibrugarh and   the remaining twelve have been kept   under observation at a hospital in Khonsa.
