WAKRO, May 29: The Oil India Limited provided financial assistance of Rupees Ten Lakhs to Anu Shiksha Seva Trust for equipping hostel with furnitures. Prasanta Borkakoty in his visit to the children at Beena Ghose Roy Enclave earlier had assured full support from the OIL for improving education and providing proper facilities for rural Arunachal children. Fulfilling the commitment made by the Regional Chief Executive, Debashish Bora, GM, PA, Shatabdi Mahanta, Manager - PA, CSR and OIL authorities rendered all support for placing the funds well in time so that the hostel facility for the students is ready before the commencement of the current academic session.
Acknowledging the gesture, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, in a written communication to the Regional Chief Executive, OIL, said that he was delightful to learn that the OIL, Duliajan is rendering selfless service and taking up welfare projects in the region and in Arunachal Pradesh through corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding. The recent financial assistance for infrastructure development towards improving the education of students in the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust at Wakro in Arunachal Pradesh is highly commendable, he said. Khandu further appreciated the RCE,OIL Duliajan for showing such care and affection to rural students residing in Wakro and for shaping the trajectory of their life.
Meanwhile, the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust has appreciated the OIL authorities including the Chief Minister and the CMO. The Trust also thanked trustees of the Be Happy Foundation, Mumbai for contributing Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand for the project.
