ITANAGAR, Jun 16: A day after a Public Interest Litigation was filed against the state government demanding judicial inquiry on alleged misappropriation of funds under central project Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana, the Executive Engineer, Power Department, Bomdila Division, Phurpha Wangyel, denied all allegations leveled against him.
Wangyel informed that he cannot say much on the issue, as the case is in the court; however, he informed that he will hold a press conference after 25th July next and assured that all the relevant documents & data will be brought to the public domain.
When asked about the tender process, the EE informed that the tender notice inviting bidders was published in four newspapers including one national, a regional, and two local dailies on 24th December 2019 which can be seen online also. Moreover, the advertisements to local dailies were made through the IPR department of the Government of Arunachal and papers were selected by the IPR department through their roster rules, he added.
When asked about the fair completion of the projects under DDUGJY scheme for Namsai, Tawang, West Kameng & also Khupi to Bana under Seppa Electrical division of East Kameng district, the EE informed that all the projects have been completed and completion certificates of the same have already been provided by the Rural Electrification Corporation Limited REC and APDA.
