Khonsa, Jan 29: As a result of sustained and coordinated efforts by Tirap Police in collaboration with the 36th Battalion CRPF and 44th Assam Rifles, one cadre of NSCN (R)—SS Sgt. Army No. 3046, Khunpong Wangsa of Lower Kolam Village, Lazu—voluntarily surrendered today before Tirap Police, 36th BN CRPF, and 44th Assam Rifles.
At the time of surrender, the cadre deposited one .32 mm pistol, one magazine, and five live rounds.
