ITANAGAR, Apr 23: The National People’s Party (NPP) is organizationally ready for the upcoming elections in Arunachal Pradesh, said NPP National Treasurer James K Sangma while responding to  the media here on Sunday while attending the coordination meeting of its National & State Executive Committee held at a city-based hotel.
When asked whether the Coordination meeting of its National & State Executive Committee can be counted as the beginning of its campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Sangma clarified that such meeting is a regular process of the party, however added, "NPP is organizationally ready for the upcoming elections in the state."
While responding to question on how far the NPP is ready for the election, Sangma said that the NPP is currently focused on expanding its organizational reach to ensure a more effective electoral process. He also hinted that the party plans to maintain its ideological stance when it comes to contesting the elections. Just like in Meghalaya and other states, the NPP will likely run independently despite being part of the NDA alliance; however this is very early to comment on the issue, he stated. Sangma's comments suggest that the NPP is committed to remaining true to its values and beliefs, even in the face of potential challenges or obstacles.
“Change in state executive is a normal process and it will be decided by the National President whether there is any need for change in the state Executive," said Sangma while responding to reports of the change of NPP state president.
