ITANAGAR, Sep 11: The National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Unit today adopted four resolutions in its first sitting of the State Executive Meeting held here today under the leadership of its President Mutchu Mithi.
Speaking to reporters, General Secretary NPP(AP) Paknga Bage  informed that NPP State unit has adopted  four resolutions for the welfare of the state and its people, Chakma –Hajong Re-settlement, Amendment in Article 371(H), Codification  of Customary Laws and  APST’s rights in educational establishment within Arunachal Pradesh.
Elaborating about the resolutions, Convenor NPP (AP) Jarpum Gamlin stated, vexed subject of Chakma-Hajong issue is on the cusp of being solved after the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Act.
"When the state & central government is formulating policy to re-settle them, they must welcome the decision as they will get Citizenship and can live with dignity. But in Arunachal they will never get citizenship," he added.
On, APST’s Rights in Educational establishment in Arunachal Pradesh, Gamlin said that Faculty members should get some reservation in the entire educational establishment and also there should be representation of faculty members in decision making bodies of the institution.
"NPP(AP) will stand for Arunachal's aspirations, we are a 100% tribal state, so there should be reservations for the APST students in all the institutions over and beyond constitutionally mandated 7.5% ," he added.
When asked about NPP’s views of corruption in Sports department related to job reservation under Sports Quota , the Convenor  said "We appreciate the state government for  creating sports quota  to encourage our sportspersons, however, we are equally concerned over the reports of manipulation under the sports quota.
