Former Home, Power and Panchayati Raj Minister Tanga Byaling while speaking  on range of corruption allegations against Pema Khandu, has termed protests as organic social uprising. 

ITANAGAR, Sep 16: Former Minister Tanga Byaling while expressing concern over the frequent corruption charges against Chief Minister Pema Khandu led state government,  has suggested to constitute a committee to investigate the corruption charges.
"CBI and Enforcement Directorate(ED) are also an option but their procedure will take time. Even, the proceedings of the Court takes time. So, I would like to suggest Chief Minister Pema Khandu to constitute a committee headed by a retired Chief Justice along with leaders from community based organisation and retired IAS or APPSC officers as members to investigate all the corruption charges against him and his government," said  former Minister for Power, Panchayati Raj, RD and also Home Minister, Byaling.
Also,  he acknowledged that he has never seen so many corruption charges during his tenure while working with at least six chief ministers including present Chief Minister Pema Khandu as well as his father Late Dorjee Khandu.  "This is for the first time we are witnessing so much of protests against a Chief Minister, " he said. Terming the series of dharna, rally and foot march as organic reactions to the evolving situation, Byaling said this is a social movement against corruption. "There is no politics. Congress is quiet despite four legislators on their side. The MLAs are worried and feeling threatened hence nobody is speaking up against the government. The NCP (NPP) is part of alliance and JD (U) MLAs have merged with BJP. How can there be politics in all these protests ," he quipped. 

While speaking on the allegation of misappropriation of funds worth more than Rs.500 Crore in the Panchayat Department, Byaling said that during his tenure funds were sanctioned under 14th Finance Commission and called for an investigation to unearth the truth. He also stated that the allegation of mismanagement of funds worth Rs. 142 Crore under DDUGJY also should be investigated. Why the Rs 142 Cr were distributed to only three districts, whereas left over funds under the DDUGJY scheme should have been equally distributed to all the districts, asserted Byaling.
While terming the 'Delhi Chalo' movement by Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) as historic, the Former Minister said that it has never happened in the history of Arunachal where people have marched towards Delhi which is more than 2400 km away from the state against the alleged corruption charges. "I cannot say about the fate of the corruption charges but, in a democratic country, they have right to protest, and no one should disrupt them and their movement," stated the former Minister.
Further speaking on PRC issue to Non-APST, former Minister said we have already lost at least three lives in the past, so government shouldn’t take any wrong decision to grant any PRC to Non –APST in the state. We cannot afford to lose another life in such mayhem, he added.
