Namsai, Aug 7: The new District Hospital building of Namsai which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on February 14 earlier this year has begun functioning from August 5 last.
In the first phase, the OPDs (Out Patient Departments) were shifted from the old District Hospital Building to the new one. Rest of the sections like In Patient Department (IPD), Casualty, Labour room, Operation theatre, shall be shifted in a phased manner.
The new hospital building is equipped with 2 (two) Modular Operation theatre and a well-equipped Trauma Centre besides other amenities.
The inauguration and subsequent functioning of the new District Hospital Building marks a significant milestone in the healthcare development of Arunachal Pradesh, reflecting the state government's commitment to improving public health infrastructure. The full transition to the new facility will bring enhanced medical services and improved health outcomes for the local population.
