ITANAGAR, Oct 25: The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) has mourned the untimely demise of Er. Tabu Paktung, former President of Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) who was serving as the Superintending Engineer in Rural Work Department on Monday, at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) Naharlagun. Late Paktung is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. 
A friend of all communities and all ages, late Tabu Paktung was a man of commitment and dedication, admired by all cross sections of society and his indelible service to our Nyishi community apart from his services to the Tagin community in particular and service to the state as a whole shall always be remembered in posterity, the NES said in a condolence message.
His untimely demise is a great loss to the Tagin brethren in particular and the state as whole and created a huge vacuum in the society which is difficult to be filled, it further said.
