TAWANG, Jun 27: The 24th Technical Coordination Committee Meeting of the North Eastern Regional Power Committee has been held at Tawang.  The TCC was chaired by Er. G. Lingi, Chief Engineer(Power), Central Electrical Zone of Arunachal Pradesh, which was attended by K.B. Jagtap, Member Secretary(NERPC), all Senior level officials from the Central as well as the State Power Utilities of the NE Region.  Er. T. K. Tara, CE(Transmission), Er. N. Perme, SE(SO&PSC) & Er. Z. Nasho, EE(Commercial) among others from the Department of Power also took part in the meeting held today.
Regional Power Committees are established by the Central Government for specified region for facilitating the integrated operation of the Power systems in that particular region under relevant section of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003.  There are five such Regional Power Committees in the Country, vis Eastern Regional, Western Regional, Northern Regional, Southern Regional and North Eastern Regional Power Committee. 
The Technical Coordination Committee of the Regional Power Committee discuss the regional level operation analysis for improving grid performance by facilitating inter-state/inter-regional transfer of electricity with proper planning related to the inter-state/intra-state transmission systems with respective Central as well as State Transmission Utilities.  Decisions/resolutions taken during the TCC meeting will be placed before the Regional Power Committee Meeting, slated to be held tomorrow at the same venue.  The RPC is headed by Chowna Mein, DCM-cum-Minister in-charge for Power for the year 2023-24.  All the resolutions/decisions taken by the TCC will be discussed in the RPC meeting for approval, where Ministers-incharge of Power of all the NE States are Members of the RPC.
The TCC today adopted some of the important resolutions, which will be placed before the RPC meeting tomorrow for its consent for onward submission to the Ministry of Power for final approval.
