ITANAGAR, Jan 18: NEEPCO officials visited the Kurung HEP project site at Palin on January 17 to listen to the public and communicate their plan for taking up the project at the quickest possible time.  
The team was accompanied Balo Raja, MLA Palin who is also Advisor(Power & HPD), along with DC Kra Daadi, Higio Tala, DC, Toko Anuj, CMD (APHPCL) among others. 
With an installed capacity of 330 MW, the Kurung HEP MoU was signed with NEEPCO in 2015.
The visit comes after Raja wrote to the CMD, NEEPCO for establishing/setting up its ED/Regional level office here at Itanagar, which was stated to be on the process. The CMD NEEPCO was also invited to Itanagar and the issues related to the Kurung HEP had been discussed threadbare at his office on 24th December last. 
A public gathering was organised to provide an opportunity for two way communication between the public and NEEPCO authorities. In a release, NEEPCO informed that the people of the area have offered land free of cost for setting up of camp office   & accommodation in the greater interest of the area.
HK Deka, Director(Technical), Ronen Sarma, Executive Director(Tech), P. R. Nabam, CGM, Ngurang Sanya, Coordinator(NEEPCO),  D. T. Swami, and others were part of the NEEPCO team.
