ITANAGAR, Jun 24: North-East State Government employees under the aegis of North East Employees & Teachers United Forum (NESGETUF) organized a meeting at Guwahati today which was attended by A. Sreekumar, General Secretary, All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF).
Leaders from Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh highlighted the disadvantages of National Pension Scheme (NPS) and urged the house to pass a strong resolution to scrap the  NPS and restoration of OPS. Other issues related to state government employees of NE states were also discussed in the meeting. 
A. Sreekumar informed the house that AISGEF is strongly against the NPS and assured to work hard to do away NPS by replacing a Defined Pension Scheme.
