Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
DOIMUKH, Oct 13:
The National Disaster Rescue Force 12 Battalion stationed at Doimukh observed national disaster reduction day by conducting awareness programmes on disaster management at four different places in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland. The main aim of these programmes was to aware people about disaster reduction techniques including prevention, mitigation and preparedness. NDRF 12 BN conducted awareness programmes in their area of responsibility to encourage every citizen and government agencies to take part in building more disaster resilient communities and nations.
Another NDRF team consisting of 21 personnel under command of Insp/GD Mintu Sonowal conducted community awareness programme at Nangram, Koloriang.
