Daporijo, May 2: The Annual Training Camp (ATC) 0.5 for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was flagged off today at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Megdong, marking the beginning of a ten-day residential training programme aimed at the overall development of youth.
Mobia Tai, ADC Koda, attended the inaugural programme as the Chief Guest and resource person. In his address, he highlighted the crucial role of youth in nation-building and urged the cadets to actively shoulder responsibilities towards the development of society and the nation.
Mennu Haji, Associate NCC Officer of Government Higher Secondary School, Dumporijo, informed that the camp is designed to enhance the overall personality, discipline, and leadership qualities of the participants.
He further stated that resource persons from various fields have been invited to deliver lectures and interactive sessions on diverse subjects to motivate and guide the cadets.
A total of 327 cadets are participating in the residential camp, which will continue for ten days.
