Guwahati, Dec 8: Minister (Env & Forest, Sports & YA), Mama Natung inspected the construction site of Arunachal Bhavan at Rupnagar, Guwahati on Thursday and reviewed status of the progress of the project with DRC Guwahati, site engineer of executing agency PWD, contractor of the project and executive members of Guwahati Arunachal Students’ Union (GASU).
Later a coordination meeting was held with the students body to interact with them on their memorandum whereby GASU has been demanding early completion of the Arunachal Bhavan Guwahati project.
The Minister apprised that government is fully committed to complete the project in time and therefore, he visited the site to see the progress of works. He instructed the executing agency and contractor to ensure quality of work and complete the building by May 2023 enabling to make the Arunachal Bhavan operational soon.
During interaction with the members, he advised them to focus primarily on their studies and participate in a positive way for all round development of the state. He further assured the students union of taking up their proposal of a separate guest house at Guwahati exclusively for accommodation of referral patients of the state.
