MIAO, May 7: Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs  Mama Natung inaugurated a Boxing ring installed by the district administration at State Sports School  here on Saturday.
The inaugural function was attended by Minister UD & Housing Komlung Mossang along with  Deputy Commissioner Changlang  Devansh Yadav, Director Sports Tadar Appa and Secretary Sports Anirudh Singh.
Appreciating the DC for his personal effort in installing the boxing ring to encourage youths into sports activities, Natung said that every DC should come up with such ideas which will benefit the youths of their respective districts.
“For the greater interest of the youths of Changlang district, I assure for a permanent coach in the academy. The matter will be discussed in a meeting later,” he said, appealing to the youths to identify their potential in sports and accordingly make it their profession. 
Natung also appealed to the parents and village heads to encourage their children to involve in sport activities with proper guidance and direction.
He also informed that the state government have already sanctioned fund for the upgradation of the academy.
Meanwhile, DC Devansh Yadav said youths can come and practice in the evening hours for free. This will encourage them to continue the sport, and maybe will bring laurel to the state.
He said this is an small move to bring out the talents of boys and girls of the district.
