Security forces conducts winter camp for students
Deomali, Jan 12: National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, was observed on Monday by the students and staff members of the various institutions of Ramakrishna Mission Nagar.
The day was marked with speeches, bhajans, and readings from the works of Swami Vivekananda at the Secondary Section, Higher Secondary Section, and Sarada Vidyalaya.
Indira Tamoung Riba, Assistant Commissioner, Deomali, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the students at the Vivekananda Statue on Vivekananda Marg. In her address, she emphasised the importance of proper use of time and senses and encouraged the youth to overcome fear and shyness.
Swami Achyuteshanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Narottam Nagar, addressed the students of both the Secondary and Higher Secondary sections, inspiring them to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda in their daily lives.
The students of Sarada Vidyalaya observed the day through a special assembly with readings from the writings of Swami Vivekananda at the school assembly hall.
