DOIMUKH, Nov 11: A three-day national workshop on ‘Research & Publication Ethics’ jointly organized by six different departments of Rajiv Gandhi University concluded today. A total of 300 participants distributed evenly along online and offline modes with more than a dozen senior professors as resource persons ranging from IIT Kanpur to Banaras Hindu University, Tezpur University, Gorakhpur University and RGU from 10 different departments deliberated during the three day national workshop.
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor, RGU motivated the students to take the best out of the workshop, as research and publication is the essence of a true academician. The keynote speaker H.S. Yadav gave a detailed deliberation on the importance of ethics in research. He highlighted that it is essential to adhere to the moral values in research as it makes us suitable for any collaborative work which is a requisite for growth.   The first technical session on day 1 led by Prof. Braj Bhusan, Department of Humanities and Social Science, IIT Kanpur, on the topic ‘Publication Ethics’ started the academic deliberations.

Notable resource persons from other Universities were Prof. Rakesh Pandey from BHU, Prof. Manabendra Mandal from Tezpur University and Prof. Dhananjay Kumar from Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Gorakhpur University while Prof. Bhagabat Nayak, Prof. Sanjeeb Kumar Jena, Prof. Kesang Degi, Prof. P. K. Panigrahi, and Prof. Utpal Bhattacharjee from various departments of RGU enlightened the research scholars and students on a wide range of topics including Databases & Research Metrics, Scientific Misconduct, Epistemological position & research methods, data analysis, to cite a few.
