ZIRO, Mar 7: Saint Claret College, Ziro in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh conducted a two-day National Webinar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for start-ups on March 5 and 6, in view of imparting suitable knowledge about the importance of IPR and IP in various aspects of daily undertakings in academics, research, and marketing. 
Various pertinent themes were delved upon by the resource persons who are proficient in matters concerning Intellectual Property Rights.
Sanjay Bhattacharya- Deputy Controller & Head of Office, The Patent Office, Kolkata,  AK Baruah, Senior Faculty (Retd.) Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, Siddhartha Devnath, Scientist-C (Senior Scientist) Patent Information Centre, Assam (Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India), Dr. Mahuya Hom Choudhury, Scientist-C (Senior Scientist) Patent Information Centre, West Bengal State S&T Council, Registered Patent Agent, Govt. of India spoke on topics related to Intellectual Property Rights.
The webinar was sponsored by the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-3) and Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology. A total of 60 participants mainly academicians, researchers, college teachers, and students took active part in the webinar.  The IPR Cell, NIT, AP, along with the Research Promotion Cell (RPC) of SCCZ  jointly organised the national webinar, which is a result of the MoU signed between both institutions.
