PASIGHAT, Aug 29: National Sports Day was celebrated today at Boying Ground, Pasighat to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand, under the theme “Sports are  an enabler to  an Inclusive and fit society.”   
A friendly Volleyball match was organized by the Department of Sports, East Siang in collaboration with District Administration East Siang. District Sports officer, Ajong Sitek, highlighted the importance of National Sports Day and importance of Games and Sports in the overall  personality development, good health and physical fitness to the participating players.
